Tutorial: How To Do Water Marbling

Hey Sweeties :)
Tonight's Tutorial is going to be all about Water Marbling. Water Marbling is a nail art technique that involves putting drops of nail polish into water, creating a design and then putting your nails into the water over the part of the design that you want on your nails.

Water Marbling might look difficult, but its actually very easy to do. If you want to learn how you can create unique designs with Water Marbling, just keep reading :)

♥ Start of by applying a base coat to protect your natural nails. Apply any nail polish of your choice, this is going to be our base color for the Water Marbling design that we are going to create next. I'm using Steady As She Rose by OPI. Apply some tape around all of your nails to prevent a huge mess, your nails should only be showing.

♥ Take a cup and fill it with room temperature water. Make sure that your cup is big enough to fit your finger in it. Then add a drop of nail polish in the water. You will see that it will create a circle. Keep adding drops of colors until you are happy with how it looks. Make sure that the nail polish lids are open. You have to work fast because the nail polish is going to dry completely and then you have to start over again.

♥ After you have finished adding the colors of your choice, take a toothpick or an orange stick and lightly drag it around in the nail polish to create a design. When you are happy with how your design looks, dip your nail into the design.

♥ With your nail still in the water, take your toothpick or orange stick and swirl it around your finger so it don't mess up your design. The orange stick picks up all the excess polish so your design won't be ruined when you remove your finger from the water.

♥ Let the design dry a little before you remove the tape. After you have removed the tape, take some nail polish remover on a cotton pad and clean up any trace of nail polish around your nails. Finish of with a top coat to prevent your design from chipping away :)

 Products I used:
♥ NYX Ridge Filler Base Coat.
♥ OPI Steady As She Rose.
♥ China Glaze Laced Up.
♥ Wet N' Wild Ebony Hates Chris.

What I love about this nail art technique, is that every design you create is going to look different on each of your nails. You can get very creative with Water Marbling which I think is super fun. You might have to give it a few tries before you get the hang of it, but when you do, you are going to have so much fun with it :)

Have you tried Water Marbling before? What do you think about my design? Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment :) Xoxo, Christine♥

Mini Haul Post: The Body Shop & H&M

Hey Sweeties :)
Today, my mom and I went down to the city to check out a gym that we both are thinking about joining. We actually have our very first trial lesson with a personal trainer next Tuesday and I'm really excited to try it out. Do you like going to the gym? :)

My main target was to find a Birthday gift for my love. Its never easy to buy gifts for guys, unless they know exactly what they want, ha ha! But I did find one, hopefully he will love it too. My mom and I ended up going into a few other stores as well and I found three, very pretty items that I want to share with you :)

♥ Mint Green Sweater from H&M.

If you follow me on Twitter, you might know that I have been looking for a mint green sweater for a while now. I finally came across this one at H&M today, isn't she a beauty? I'm really excited to style it and share some looks with you guys :)

♥ Necklace from H&M.

I'm completely obsessed with these type of necklaces. I have a similar one in gold that I use all the time, so I thought it would be perfect to pick up a Silver one. This necklace is also from H&M, I really love their jewelry :)

♥ The Body Shop Dreams Unlimited Sun Fresh Eau De Toilette.

We never stop by The Body Shop, but today we made an exception. I'm so happy that we did that, because I found this really amazing perfume. This might be my new favorite perfume. It has a blend of neroli blossom and watermelon notes which smells absolutely amazing. Its the perfect scent for the Summer :)

Have you picked up anything new from The Body Shop and H&M lately? What do you think about the items I picked up? Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment :) Xoxo, Christine♥

Essie Pink Parka: Review, Photos & Swatches

Hey Beauties :)
Essie's Pink Parka is a nail polish that I have been looking forever for, but I could never find it anywhere online. A few weeks ago, I finally found it after hours of searching for it and I immediately added it to my shopping bag. Keep reading if you want to know what I think about this nail polish by Essie :)

 ♥ Essie Pink Parka.

Pink Parka is a beautiful neon pink nail polish that dries matte. I'm actually very disappointed in the formula of this nail polish. Its very thin and extremely streaky, which makes it a pain in the butt to apply. I had to work a lot with it to get it to look somewhat okay and I'm still not happy with how it looks on my nails.

Pink Parka is a nail polish that you have to work very fast with, because it dries in only a few seconds. I had to use three, very thick coats to make it look opaque but it was still very streaky after all those coats. I do like how quickly it dries though, a few seconds is really impressive :)

♥ Essie Pink Parka.

Pink Parka is extremely bright, its definitely an ''In Your Face'' kind of nail polish. I absolutely love the color, its really delightful but I wish the formula was much better. It dries matte which I'm not a big fan of but that problem can be solved with a top coat.

I haven't found a perfect dupe for Pink Parka yet, but there are a lot of similar shades by other brands available. I really wish that Essie would release this nail polish again and change the formula and make it a creme nail polish instead of a matte one. That would be amazing because the color of this nail polish is extremely gorgeous :)

Mint Candy Apple is a gorgeous and soft pastel mint green nail polish. I'm not surprised that this shade is part of my Top 5 nail polishes for Spring and Summer. I'm such a sucker for Mint Green nail polishes, I just can't seem to get enough of them, ha ha! Click here to check out my review :)

Barry M Nail Polish in Coral.

Barry M Coral is a pretty Orange/Coral nail polish. I like how wearable this nail polish is. Its not too light or too bright which I like a lot and I don't have anything like this shade in my collection. I definitely want to try more nail polishes from Barry M, this is only my second one from them and I'm really happy with it. I just wish Barry M was available here :)

Hey Sweeties :)
I want to share a few items I picked up on my recent shopping trip with my mom. I hope you enjoy my little haul post, let me know what you think in the comments below :)

♥ The Angeline Top from Gina Tricot's Exclusive Collection.

I'm in love with this top from Gina Tricot's Exclusive Collection. I love that it has chains instead of straps, I think that makes it very unique. It also has an open back which is going to be nice for Summer. What do you think about tops with open backs?

♥ Tube Top from Gina Tricot.

I also picked up this black tube top from Gina Tricot. Its going to look really cute with skirts, shorts as well and the Angeline Crystal Blue top above.

♥ Bracelets from H&M.

I have been looking for a bunch of pretty bracelets in different colors for Summer and I came across these cute ones at H&M. I love them, the colors are so cute :)

♥ Versace Bright Crystal Perfumed Deodorant.

Simon was recently in Oslo to see Metallica perform and when he got home, he surprised me with the Versace Bright Crystal Perfumed Deodorant. I have the Versace Bright Crystal Eau De Toilette in my perfume collection and it smells absolutely amazing. The Perfumed Deodorant is not as strong as the perfume, but I love it :)

Le Angelique Paris Je T'aime Turbo Hair Iron: Review, Photos & Look

Hey Sweeties :)
I have some really fun and exciting news to share with you guys! A while ago, Le Angelique contacted me and asked me if I was interested in being their Official Ambassador. I have never been asked to do anything like this before, so you can just imagine how excited I am about this. I'm truly honored and really grateful that they picked me to be their Official Ambassador. About nine months ago, I was looking for a clip less curling iron on Ebay and that is how I first discovered Le Angelique.

Tonight's review is going to be all about their beautiful Paris Je T'aime Turbo Hair Iron, keep reading if you want to know what I think about this hair tool :)

♥ Le Angelique Paris Je T'aime Turbo Hair Iron.

Le Angelique is a unique enterprise that whole sales and manufactures professional hair styling tools and accessories. Their goal is to intermix all of the best hair products on the market and to recreate perfection.

The Paris Je T'aime Turbo Hair Iron is designed to straighten and curl your hair. Its very easy to use, you just plug it into the socket and turn the On/Off switch to the On position. You will see a red light that will illuminate as soon as the switch is turned on. Now that you have turned it on, just wait for it to heat up.

The iron heats up very quickly, so you don't have to wait long before you can start using it. You should allow it to heat up for three minutes so it will reach the optimum temperature but you don't have to wait that long if you don't want to. I let it heat up for about one-two minutes before I use it. I might do a tutorial on how I curl my hair using this straightener, so keep your eyes open for that :)

♥ Here I have used the Paris Je T'aime Turbo Hair Iron to straighten my hair.

♥ Here I have used the Paris Je T'aime Turbo Hair Iron to curl my hair.
♥ Le Angelique Paris Je T'aime Turbo Hair Iron.

You all probably know that I'm a huge sucker for cute and pretty packaging, right? This hair iron is just straight up adorable, don't you think so too? I absolutely love the design, its so pretty, fun and girly at the same time and it put a smile on my face every time I use it. Its definitely one off the most adorable irons that I have seen.

If your not into this design, Le Angelique have many other designs to choose from so you are bound to find one that suits your style and personality. Click here to check out all the different designs that are available on their website :)
♥ Le Angelique Paris Je T'aime Turbo Hair Iron.

What I really love about this straightener is that I can straighten and curl my hair with it. It glides smoothly through my hair and it doesn't rip or tear it which is a huge plus. I actually prefer using a hair straightener to curl my hair, because I just love the tight curl that they give my hair. It also gives my hair a lot more volume and the curls stays longer in my hair as well.
♥ Le Angelique Paris Je T'aime Turbo Hair Iron.

I wish that the Paris Je T'aime Turbo Hair Iron came with a little pouch to store it in. I usually like to take my hot tools with me when I'm traveling and the pouch protects them from getting damaged. I would really hate for something to happen to this iron.

A heat protection glove is another thing that I think is very important and something that all hot tools should come with. I have had a couple of bad experiences with hot tools before, and its not a pleasant feeling so a heat protection glove can be a total lifesaver :)

If you don't have a heat protection glove laying around (lucky for me, I do have one) just remember to be careful when you are using any hot tools, because they get extremely hot and I don't want you guys to burn yourself. Also remember to always use a heat protection spray before you use any styling tools. Its important to protect your hair from getting damaged too :)

♥ Le Angelique Paris Je T'aime Turbo Hair Iron.

The Paris Je T'aime Turbo Hair Iron has dual voltage 110v-240v, so you can use it all over the world. If your not from the US and you are thinking about ordering this product online, make sure that you also buy an adapter because it doesn't come with one. Your outlet might be different, depending on where you live so without an adapter, you wont be able to use it. An adapter can easily be found on Ebay, that's where I order mine.

Le Angelique sell everything from straighteners, blow dryers and curling irons to styling products, and hair extensions. If you are looking for a straightener that looks gorgeous, gets the job done quickly and is easy for traveling, this is definitely a good choice. Le Angelique offers a limited life time warranty. To get the warranty, you must sight up on their website, you can do that here.
